About Karen Engle

Karen Engle is Minerva House Drysdale Regents Chair in Law and Founder and Co-director of the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at the University of Texas School of Law. Much of her work focuses on social movements and human rights. Her books include The Grip of Sexual Violence in Conflict: Feminist Interventions in International Law (Stanford University Press, forthcoming 2020), Anti-Impunity and the Human Rights Agenda (Cambridge University Press, 2016)(co-editor), and The Elusive Promise of Indigenous Development: Rights, Culture, Strategy (Duke University Press, 2010).
