Humanity Unbound is a forum of the Humanity Journal. It provides an opportunity for shorter interventions that are published on a faster time frame. These submissions have a rigorous internal evaluation but do not undergo peer review. The guidelines are as follows:
- Please submit a complete set of files for your Humanity Unbound article to [email protected], including the manuscript, title page, tables, figures, and a full list of captions included in your article.
- Essays should be approximately 3,000 words, including references and endnotes. Footnotes should be used judiciously for Humanity Unbound submissions – please refer to the guidelines for full manuscripts regarding citations and formatting.
- On a separate title page, please include an abstract (300 words max), up to 5 keywords, and contact details.
- When finalizing your submission, please bear in mind that we will evaluate the essay in terms of the criteria used for our manuscripts, with particular attention to 1) novelty, timeliness, and significance of argument and 2) whether it speaks to Humanity’s interdisciplinary audience.
- Authors are asked to confirm that the essay has not previously appeared in print or is not currently being reviewed elsewhere for another publication.
